Spectune collects no data, sends none and shares none.

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs of any kind. It has no networking code of its own. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.

Your songs

Songs are saved as files on your device, in the Files app under On My iPhone (or iPad) › Spectune. They are never visible to the developer or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes the songs stored there.

If you turn on iCloud Sync in Spectune’s settings, songs are kept in your own iCloud Drive instead, in a Spectune folder, so they appear on your other devices. Apple stores and syncs them under your Apple Account and Apple’s privacy policy. The developer has no access to them. Sync is off until you turn it on.

The microphone

Spectune asks for the microphone only when you choose to record a sound to paint onto a track, and listens only while that recording runs. The sound is analyzed on your device as it comes in and turned directly into paint. The audio itself is not saved, and nothing it hears leaves your device.

Sounds you import

When you import an audio file, or drop one onto the canvas, Spectune reads it on your device to find its pitches and paints them onto a track. Only the paint is kept in your song. The file is not uploaded anywhere, and the temporary copy made while reading it is discarded.

Exports

When you export a song, stems, a video or a project file, Spectune hands the file to the system share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you.

Settings

Your preferences, such as appearance, haptics and audio settings, are stored on your device and never transmitted.

Purchases

Spectune is bought once from the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. There are no in-app purchases. The developer never sees your payment details and receives only Apple’s aggregate sales reports.

Children

Spectune is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
